ANIMAL POETRY
This week we looked at a poem about a cricket. Miss A had taken the word 'cricket' out of the poem so we had to use the clues in the text to figure out what the poem was about. Then we used how that poem was written and we wrote our own poems about animals. Here are some of them.

Cheetah

The cheetah sprints
sprints speedily
watches
watches silently
waits
waits still...
still

Still
and then -
it roars
roars roars
a great noise

Bear

The Bear crawls
crawls quitley
roars
roars loudly
attacks
attacks solemnly
waits .....

waits
and then -
it climbs, climbs
climbs
A hideout away from the world

White Tiger

The white tiger attacks
attacks swiftly
lands
lands loudly
eats

silent

and then -
it roars, roars
roars
Loudly through a microphone

Rabbit

hops quickly
sleeps
